Chef Beck Recipes Split Chicken Wings

Grilled Chicken Wings


  • 5 pounds of chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 stick of butter (unsalted)
  • ¾ cup hot sauce (franks)
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic – chopped
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese


  • Preheat grill to medium heat
  • Combine salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  • Toss wings with spice mix and place on grill
  • Grill and flip wings every 5-7 minutes or so for a total of 20-25 minutes
  • While wings are cooking combine butter, hot sauce, bbq sauce, honey, and garlic in a sauce pan, heat until warm
  • Toss wings in sauce, and turn the grill to high heat
  • Place the wings back on the grill to char the outside and get the skin crispy
  • Once wings are crispy add back to the sauce mix and add Parmesan cheese
